H.E. Sheikh Abdul Rahaman bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture and H.E. Dr. Hessa Al-Jaber, Secretary General of Information & Communication Technology in Qatar have come to the solution of ipark.so, what is ipark? Impark is a collaboration between ictQATAR and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture that provides free internet access to citizens of Qatar in a park. This park can help bridge the gap since citizens with low income whom can’t afford paying expensive bills to internet service providers (ISP) can sit in the park and connect with others worldwide, or use VOIP for free calls, or shop online or bank online, or search for information over the internet, or work/study online and many more. However, the down side to this is the cost that ictQATAR and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture will have to pay to ISP on behalf of the citizens. Also, Qatar is known for its extremely hot climate during the months of May to mid September and its cold climate during the months December to mid February. So, the ideal mild weather for going to park is from mid February to the end of April which is very limited.
