Who are the users of student management system?
The name says it all, student management systems are designed for educational organizations mostly schools, universities and colleges to track their students. Although student management systems are expensive, they are not restricted to a specific educational organization. Any educational organization can use student management systems no matter what curriculum the educational organization teaches or what is the educational organization’s financial status. The main audience are teaching staff, administration staff and parents.
- Teaching staff: Teachers and coordinators use student management systems to award students by giving award points in behavior or academic, or sanction students by giving them warning points. Moreover, teachers can monitor students' grades by producing graphs or generate report cards. Student management systems also help teachers plan for an activity since it allows them to locate unoccupied classrooms and generate schedules.
- Administration staff: They use student management systems to be aware of any medical conditions the student is suffering from, along with knowing the students background, religion, native language and so on. This information is very critical for example, a student has kidney failure but does not want his/her teacher or classmates to know and he/she really needs to use the toilet but the teacher does not allow him/her. The administration can tell the teacher is student has a special case so he/she is allowed at any time. They can also know details about who picks up the student, or does the student’s parent agree for taking pictures of the student…etc.
- Parents: Parents can get up to date information about their children and know how they are progressing academically and personally.
