Other options that don’t involve the internet
Before the internet and its services, people (employees) used to complete their work after their duty/shift finishes in their work place. However, in the information age employees can go home, have fun with their friends and family and multitask while completing their work. Another alternative to online applications for working from home is working in the office itself.
Working physically in an office makes it easier for employers to track the hours worked by the employee to calculate his/her wage, or to check if the employee deserves a bonus and so on. Also it will be better for the employee since all resources will be available; for example, if an employee needs a file from another department he/she can go and get it. On the other hand, the employee will have to work away from his family and friends.
