Who are the users of instant messaging?
Instant messaging applications are commonly used in the information age, but by who? People of various ages, genders and nationalities use instant messaging for different purposes. In these days young people are considered the most active instant messaging users, with ages ranging from 18 to 30. Due to the large approach of users, instant messaging users are divided into the following:
Individual users: As humans, it is very important that we express our opinions, and talk and discuss with one another. So everyday users use instant messaging to connect with their friends or family, communicate with their co-workers or share resources with their friends and family since it is a cheap and fast way of communication.
Businesses: Businesses also use instant messaging so their staff can cheaply and easily communicate with each other. For example, a head of department wants to tell a staff member to come by his/her office quickly. In addition, businesses can use instant messaging to allow users to communicate with the employees one to one in case they need assistance. They also use instant messaging to send messages to customers so they can know about promotions, sales and new arrivals.
Organizations: Organizations also use instant messaging for fast and cheap communication between employees. Not to mention that they use instant messaging for send messages to people to inform them about events for example, sending instant messages to inform the public about a fund riser to treat cancer.
