Since its inception in 1999, Hole-in-the-Wall has grown from a single computer at Kalkaji, New Delhi to more than a hundred computers at various locations across India and abroad to bridge the gap between citizens in India who can afford computers and those who can’t. Not only did Hole-in-the-wall helped bridge the digital divide, it also helped children learn to explore new things and know their way around the computer without. In addition to this, it helped develop team work since children or even adults can teacher others how to use the computer. Now, almost everyone in India can access a computer for free. Unfortunately, some people have abused these computers and ruined them; this can prevent others from using the computers. Moreover, people can fight over their turns to use these computers which will decrease the efficiency of the project.
